Who runs this site
Skarb is the cultural portal of the Romny city territorial hromada. For anything about your data, write to skarb.romny@gmail.com.
What we receive
There are no accounts and no sign-up. Data appears only when you fill in one of the three forms yourself:
- Newsletter — your email address.
- Ask a question — name, email, phone number if you choose to give one, and your message.
- Share a tradition — name, settlement, type of tradition, description, email, and optionally a video link.
The IP address of the request is recorded alongside the form. It is used to limit automated spam — but that is not the end of it: the address is written into the body of the notification email, so everyone with access to the hromada's working inbox can see it. It is not kept in the server logs.
What we do with it
A completed form is emailed to the hromada's working inbox skarb.romny@gmail.com. The email carries everything you typed into the form plus the IP address of the request. If the hromada additionally connects a notification service (a work chat or another external service), the same set of data is sent there too. We do not sell this data, do not pass it to third parties for advertising and do not use it for profiling.
What we store, not just forward
Two kinds of message are also kept in the hromada's working lists — otherwise there is no way to answer them or to see which ones have already been handled:
- A question to the hromada is stored in an internal database: name, email, phone (if you gave one), the text of the question and the date. The IP address is not stored there — it stays in the email only. Only people with access to the site's admin panel can see these messages. Once a question has been answered or handled, it stays in the resolved list until the hromada deletes it.
- A subscription to updates is stored with the mailing service Resend: the address itself and the date you subscribed. This is what makes it possible to send the letter and to remember who opted out.
The "Send us a tradition" form is not stored anywhere — it is still only emailed.
Unsubscribing takes one click: every newsletter has an "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom. Replying to any of our emails works too — we will remove you by hand.
What is stored in your browser
The site uses no advertising or analytics cookies and keeps no visitor statistics. The only thing stored locally is your accessibility settings (contrast, text size, animations off). They stay in your browser, are never sent anywhere, and disappear when you clear the site's data.
Third-party services
Parts of the pages load from outside. These services see that a request came from your device:
- Vercel — hosting.
- MapTiler — base map for the interactive hromada map.
- YouTube in no-cookie mode (
youtube-nocookie.com) and Google Drive — video stories. They load only after you press play. - unpkg — libraries for the map and the 3D viewer.
- Resend — delivery of the form emails and storage of the newsletter subscriber list.
- Upstash (via Vercel) — the internal database holding questions to the hromada until they are answered or deleted.
Your rights
You can ask what data of yours we hold, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Write to skarb.romny@gmail.com — we reply within one business day.
